The Local Area

Just because we offer you peace and tranquility does not mean that we are in a remote location! If you wish to have a night out, the village of Drumlish is only 5 minutes away with plenty of craic and live music in the local bars.

The county town of Longford (Longford Town) is also close at hand and is only 7 miles away from your accommodation. This busy town can offer you top restaurants, cinema, swimming pools, a sports centre, golf, indoor bowling, ceili dancing, night clubs, football (soccer and GAA) and even dog racing.

The historic village of Ballinamuck is only 3 miles (see local history for more details) and also offers excellent night life in the local bars. If you are more the outdoor type then you have also come to the right place. There are a number of official country walks including the Ballinamuck battle trail, the Ballinamuck lake trail and the Ballinamuck bog trail. All amongst beautiful heath and bog land.
